This is my note for note cover of Pink Floyd&Wish You Were Here. I spent a long time listening to each guitar part, slowing it down, and notating. David Gilmour originally plays this solo on a dobro, so I had to adapt the slides for bends so that it could be played on a standard six string. I even studied the strumming patterns and tried to get those exactly right as well. None of this was copied out of a book of any kind, so it is a completely original transcription. I even watched Gilmour play it live a few different times to make sure it matched. I played everything on this one: Drums, Bass, Guitars, Piano, Keys, and all Vocals. I first took the original album track for Wish You Were Here, and painstakingly, over a four day period, transcribed everything on the track. After taking a day to recover from all that insanity, I learned each part and filmed myself playing them so you can see how they are played. This is also the debut of my two new twin blonde acoustics from Alvarez. They are a six and a twelve string Jumbo model, with the new LR Baggs Element Pickup. These guitars are so nice for the price that they are impossible to pass up. And, as you can hear, they sound amazing. Alvarez is my favorite acoustic guitar maker, and I encourage anyone listening, to go grab one off the shelf and just play it. You will be surprised at the sound.
