RISE AND FALL OF SELATI MALE LIONS - LIONS THAT ENDED THE MAPOGO REIGN IN SABI SAND GAME RESERVE

Selati Male Lions were born into The Selati/Southern Pride of Lions from Sabi Sands Game Reserve. They were sired by The Golf Course Males. They lost their first brother in a battle with The Majingilane Male Lions in 2011. They challenged Infamous Mapogo Coalition of Male Lions in early 2012 and successfully took over the western Sabi Sands. Another member died after getting injured during a buffalo hunt in 2013. The coalition lost another member to The Majingilane Male Lions in 2014 while defending their territory. Remaining 2 brothers were banished and they went North into the Manyeleti Game Reserve. They took over Talamati Pride and sired cubs with them. 4th member of the coalition passed away in February 2017. Last remaining Selati also passed away at the end of 2017. Their legacy lives on through their daughters and sons. Their 2 sons are in Kruger National Park nowadays. This is an educational video covering the history of a Lion Coalition named "The Southern/Selati Coalition" which is widely considered for ending the Mapogo Reign from Western Sabi Sands.
