This HowTo video will how to setup historical data logs in TIA Portal. The data log tags will then be used to display in a trendview. A scope can also be configured, only values between or outside the configured limits will be logged. TIA Portal is a programming environment from Siemens and specially developed for programming the S7-1200/1500 PLC and the new HMI panels. In TIA Portal it is possible to program in different languages, such as Ladder diagram (LAD), function block diagram (FBD), Statement List (STL), Graph and Structured Control Language (SCL). In a series of short tutorials, MA-IT MyAutomation would like to help you get familiar with TIA Portal. ----- Transcription --------------------------------------------------- This video will explain how to setup historical data and display these in a trend. These 3 tags will be used for the historical data. Open Historical data, found in the project tree and add a data log. In this example the data log file will be saved as a .csv file. Also choose a path for the save file. Add 3 logging tags to the data log. Assign the HMI tags as process tags. A logging cycle time of 2 seconds will be used in this example. A scope can be configured in the properties. You can choose to log withing or outside the configered values. Next, add a new trend to the trendview. Set the trend type to Data log.
