Stereolithography (SLA) 3D Printing

Stereolithography was the first 3D printing technology. A vat of plastic resin is used. An ultraviolet laser selectively cures very thin layers. The vat is moved down the thickness of the layer and the next layer is cured. The part "grows" as the layers are added.
