Heaven sent – Hell bent. With this conversion, we take you back to the events of World War II, when the P51D Mustang rocketed across the skies as an escort fighter for the US Forces. The engine of the fast and agile fighter could be recognized from a distance by its characteristic sound: The 12-cylinder V-engine from Rolls-Royce with 1700 hp flew around 700 km/h. Its sound can be imagined as iconic as that of our Harley-Davidson engines. The owner of this Street Bob has a special relationship with this aircraft and wanted his custom bike to be reminiscent of it in paint and design. The owner is Nils Buntrock, who has been responsible for marketing at Harley-Davidson Germany since January 2021. He explains what the saying about heaven and hell on the fender is all about as follows: “It means that you go through with something firmly resolved.” That also fits his approach to his first custom bike: “I got ideas here and there from various custom bikes on your website. The rear fender here, the handlebars there, and so on.” Not only is the paint job with the original registration number reminiscent of the famous airplane, but the lamp was also meant to mimic an aerodynamic airplane nose. “I got the lamp mask from the LiveWire,” Nils explains.
