I sang one of the most famous musical masterpieces - "Pas de deux" from Tchaikovsky&Christmas ballet "The Nutcracker"! The original version is for orchestra only, but my husband came up with the idea to make an arrangement for soprano and piano especially for me! (He knew that I could sing in a wide range up to the "sol" of the third octave). This is extremely emotional music: starting with gentle grace, it becomes increasingly restless and dramatic, and finally reaches a grand climax and apotheosis... In the original libretto of the ballet, in this place, in general, nothing of the kind is implied. And this "Pas de deux", corresponding to the music itself, makes an impression in the 1973 Soviet animated film "The Nutcracker", where it simply shocks and moves to tears in the scene of the transformation of the little prince into a toy Nutcracker, as if Tchaikovsky composed it specifically for the script of this cartoon, and not for ballet... _________________________________________________________ Я спела один из самых известных музыкальных шедевров - "Па-де-де" из всеми любимого (особенно на Рождество и Новый год) балета П.
