Bryan Ferry is a British musician and songwriter who was born in the Newcastle area in 1945. He achieved as much as a solo artist as during his years at Roxy Music of which he was a co-founder. Roxy Music was a British art rock band of the 1970s whose influential style was an amalgam of glam rock campiness, sophisticated, experimental musicianship, arch humor, and world-weary romanticism.
