Panasonic ER1611 battery tuning / replacement with larger cells

Please read the followoing description: In this video, i show you my solution to securely replace the battery with larger standard AA-cells. Original panasonic-cells and original replacement cells are basically AA-cells with a capacity of 1100mAh each but with a laser-welded extra-pin on the plus and the minus pole for a secure contacting. You can see the already modified original batteries in the video on the right side and original replacement batteries in the middle. On the left side, you can see Panasonic Eneloop Pro batteries with 2500mAh each in standard AA-condition. Its possible to replace the original cells with every standard AA-Ni-MH battery if you can ensure a safe contact between the batteriepoles and the device. AA-Cells without any modification will not contact. 1. Disassamble the ER1611 and remove the old batteries. You can feel that the extra-pins are locked in the junction-plates. 2. Remove the four extra-pins from the two original cells by levering them off with a flat slot-screwdriver or a sharp knife. Because of the laser-welding, this might be a bit tricky. Please be carefull and harm yourself. If you bend the extra-pin out of shape during this process, please bend it back after you removed it as good as possible. 3. Place the four extra-pins into the junction-plates as shown in the video (three are already installed). Make sure that they are locked. 4. Insert the new AA-Batteries.
