This lovely old set i paid just £40 for it was from a SK sale. When she arrived she was in a sorry state, In the box, was the 930, loads of other bits which the seller thought belonged to it, and parts missing. There was no mains transformer, and this initiated a massive search, ebay revealed nothing worldwide. I eventually found a dealer who scrapped old ham and military stuff, he said he had a transformer for a 930, this cost £50 but when it arrived, although the voltages were correct, the size was bigger then the original and wouldnt fit where the original went. I had no choice but to mount the transformer where the optional ATU was supposed to fit, and in the process, i had to move other bits around. Another problem i had, were, wires were cut and plus ends missing. Despite searching the net for manuals and info for the 930, i couldnt fine any information on some of the interconnecting leads. It was a slow, laborious job, tracing wires and components, and eliminating connection by connection. Eventually, all leads found a home, and things were checked and double checked. It took me over an hour, before i even dared switch it on, the last thing i wanted was 40 odd volts floating through teh logic boards, or the signal board. Switch it on i did, and was welcomed with the display reading 14,000Mhz, turning the dial operated the display. 5 mins of playing and the controls seemed to do what was expected. This set seems to transmit from 100Khz to 30Mhz, this i will have to...
