Instrumental Innovations
Guitarist and violinist Tariq Harb plays the second movement from Niccolo Paganini&"Sonata Concertata" marked "Adagio assai espressivo". It was great fun to play and record both parts; I feel I am a completely different person when I play guitar than when I play violin, partly because I have to actually go back to practicing violin 😂 Musically however, I feel I have a shared vision on both instruments, thankfully, which helped immensely in doing this recording! It would be like arguing with oneself, otherwise! 😊 This piece has gorgeous melodies and Paganini&style and character is apparent throughout. His ability to shift through emotions so seamlessly and to create exciting musical interplay makes him one of my favourite composers. I sincerely hope you enjoy this piece!
