This is Tekki Shodan, the sixth Kata in Shotokan Karate that all practitioners learn. Throughout this video, I demonstrate and break down kinesiologically, the movements and meanings of the kata from beginning to end, and then do the kata once, the whole way through without interruption. Furthermore, this is typically the kata you demonstrate for your Brown Belt and it requires a different type of movement in contraction power, as opposed to shifting and rotating power.
