In this webinar, learn about using COMSOL 5.2 and the AC/DC Module add-on for modeling rotating electrical machines such as motors, generators, magnetic gears, and magnetic bearings. We demonstrate how to model a permanent magnet AC generator in both 2D and 3D in the COMSOL software. We also show you how to compute the induced voltage, copper loss (in stator windings), eddy current, and hysteresis loss in the stator and rotor cores as well as how to save time and computational memory by using periodic conditions and sector symmetry.
