Testing my new lathe with (I believe) 6013 aluminium (yes, the hole is off center) and Silver Steel at 7:40 (1.2210 115CrV3). I&a noob to this (I know I used the wrong tools for some operations now), so no harsh comments, please ;) I probably abused the cutters. The lathe is still on the base of its wooden box, which is on a stainless steel industrial kitchen bench with wheels, until I make a stand for it. I used brazed tungsten carbide tools. The turning speed is 651 RPM (measured with laser tachometer). I used auto-feed every now and then. I didn&lock the slides most of the time (each have different size Allen head bolts! I will replace them with thumb screws later.). This is not a Vario with a universal motor, but a regular with an AC motor and pulleys. I think it&stronger than my BF20L which also has a 750W motor, but it&a Vario. I had to put a 4mm thick parallel bar and a 0.5mm feeler gauge under the 10mm cutting tool to center the tip. This lathe is stronger than I expected, so I&rather pleased.
