Russia&prosecutor general has been ordered to examine fire safety in shopping centers across the country after at least 64 people, including nine children, were confirmed dead in fire at a shopping mall in the city of Kemerovo in Siberia. The death toll was expected to rise as the rescue operation continued on Monday at the Zimnyaya Vishnya (Winter Cherry) mall, hours after the fire engulfed the four-storey building, Russia&Tass news agency reported. Investigators say a security guard switched off the alarm system and fire exits were blocked. Al Jazeera&Natasha Ghoneim has the latest.
