How to Change Color of Lights in Blender

Learn how to adjust the color and power of new and existing lights within Blender. Details below... Changing Color of a Light With a light selected, go to the Object Data Properties section in the Properties panel. It has the green light bulb for an icon. Within the Light section, click on the Color swatch and choose a color from the color wheel. Displaying Color By default, the color of lights and object materials will not be visible. The main window is the 3D Viewport. In the upper right corner of this window are 4 buttons for the various Viewport Shading modes. The first two modes, Wireframe and Solid, do not display the color of lights or objects. The last two modes, Material Preview and Rendered, do display such color. Adding a Point Light Within the main window, click on the following within the menu... Add - Light - Point Moving a Light With a light selected, press the G key to enter Move mode. Move the mouse to reposition the light and click the left mouse button once to commit the change in position. Changing Power of a Light With a light selected, adjust the Power option within the Light section of the Object Data Properties section of the Properties panel.
