Western AF presents | Shawn James | "Through the Valley" ... From Shawn James: A few months back, Western AF met with me in Wyoming at an old historic prison site and recorded a couple songs. After almost a month on the road touring, I had just cancelled a couple shows and was told I had an upper respiratory and throat infection. I really didn’t want to cancel this video shoot so I powered through. I remember being a bit bummed that I wasn’t at the top of my game and was expecting to not be happy with the performance. Although I was a bit raspier than usual, had to lower the song a few keys and didn’t have the lung capacity I normally do, after I heard the final version a few days ago, I was happy with how it turned out. Through the Valley is a song that evokes gritty, road worn & survivalist qualities. I feel that me being in that state actually made for a unique performance that I’m actually proud of. ...
