3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable LGA4189 CPU and Heatsink Installation Guide

Аватар автора
In this video, we cover how to install a LGA4189 CPU and cooler for third-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. This is being shown on a LGA4189-5 or P5 «Cedar Island» server for Cooper Lake processors like Facebook uses. The same process applies, with some notches changing for Ice Lake Xeon «Whitley» platforms using the LGA4189-4 or Socket P4 platforms. As a bonus, we show the detail on how most LGA3647 installations of first and second-generation Xeons as well as the Xeon Phi x200 series processors on YouTube do not show the proper installation method. Quick (important note) - It sounds like I said «lb-ft» instead of «in-lbft» for the torque spec. This is labeled on the coolers but just wanted to clarify. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Timestamps ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00 Introduction 3:48 A quick background on Cooper Lake 6:22 An Introduction to the LGA4189 Intel Xeon Socket Solution 10:01 Installation Process Deep-Dive 22:46 Removing and the new TIM Breaker 24:51 Wrap-up ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Other STH Content Mentioned in this Video ----------------------------------------------------------------------
