This video will show you how to replace a radiator on a 2007, 2008 and 2009 Lexus RX350. The model years for this RX350 has a coolant cross flow (vs the traditional down flow) radiator design. The coolant flows horizontally and the coolant tanks are mounted on the side in lieu of top to bottom. Both the supply and return radiator hose ports are located at the bottom of the radiator. The best radiators to choose from for replacement would be either Koyo or Denso. Both Japanese companies are OEM suppliers for Asian import manufacturers and have high quality control standards which translates to a perfect replacement fit. The replaced radiator in this video failed due to a broken and blown off coolant hose connection located below the fill port. In addition, the brake may have been caused by a broken radiator cap causing a over pressure condition. The owner was bringing the car to me to have one of his rear taillight lenses replaced. On the way over, the engine overheated. My main concern was that the head gaskets weren&blown. Fortunately, Lexus has an auto engine shut off feature which activates when the coolant temperature is exceeded that so far, didn&warp the cylinder heads and destroy the head gaskets.
