This is a review of the Hitachi C10FCE2 10" miter saw from Lowes (now the Metabo HPT C10FCGS). (Home Depot also carries them) I bought this saw about a year ago. I needed something smaller and lighter than my old faithful Bosch 12" double bevel sliding compound saw. The Hitachi C10FCE2 10" miter saw from Lowes is powerful enough to cut 4x4&and other large lumber, but also does well for trim work (which is what I use it for). It&also super lightweight! The Hitachi C10FCE2 weights around 24 pounds. Why the name change from Hitachi to Metabo? It&simple, Metabo bought out several tool manufacturers and to simplify things, the name Metabo now includes power tools from all those companies that were previously bought out, like Hitachi. It&the same quality tools that Hitachi as always manufacturers (such as the Metabo HPT C10FCGS) just with a different name. What I love about this Hitachi 10" miter saw is that it is light. It weighs about 20 lbs. I use it mostly for trim jobs and small projects where my big Bosch is just too cumbersome to cart everywhere. I can grab it when I&on the go and throw it in the pickup. I can set it up just about anywhere! Maybe a compact miter saw isn&for you? Or maybe it is. Watch the video to find out. If you&looking for a lightweight, compact, reliable miter saw, watch this video and see if Metabo HPT C10FCGS is for you. Don&forget to &and &below.
