How to trim a basenji tail for the show ring. This is just a quick video I made to help those who want to groom a Basenji for the show ring. I made this a couple years ago and I do do some things differently now than I did back then. SUPPLIES I USE CURRENTLY: -Bark To Basics "Skin Remedy" Shampoo -Thinning Shears and Straight Shears (scissors) - Leave in conditioner - "Silky spray" - Nail Grinder - Quik stop, just in case -Show bag/carrier for products IN DEPTH TO EACH SUPPLY *Leave in Conditioner. You can use whatever you want. I just really like the way the Suave leave in conditioner found at walmart, makes the coat feel and smell. But you can get pet specific leave in conditioner or you can skip it altogether. your choice. this is just what I choose to do. * "Silky Spray" I use this stuff, also purchased at walmart, because it really gives the coat a nice glossy look and makes them look sheek and stunning. they glow as they run around the ring. but, at everything, choose what you want to use. this is just what I choose to use. *Nail Stop/Quik Stop. I have a little bottle of this handy, just in case. however, it has yet to be opened. I just have it there just in case so If, heaven forbid, I should cut a nail to short, I am not running around panicking because they are bleeding. I am usually very careful with nails as I want it to be a pleasurable experience so i try to be as cautious as possible. :) *I bought just a regular tool type of thing for my products back...
