3SIGMA AUDIO ACOUSTIC IMPULSE RESPONSES

This is demonstrating some of the acoustic guitar impulse response available from 3Sigma Audio. Please note this video is unassociated with 3Sigma Audio - all IRs have been purchased. Impulse responses have been around for a number of years, and are most well known when it comes to reverbs. Guitar speakers have become an increasingly popular use of IRs in recent years. As the technology evolves, you&going to find more and more instruments being modelled. The idea of this is to overlay the piezo signal from an acoustic guitar with the impulse response model of a different acoustic. This is advantageous, as you don&need to own a variety of guitars and microphones, plus it will really come into it&own when the recording environment&unsuitable to use a condenser mic. The guitar played here is an Entourage Folk Guitar from Seagull, using it&onboard Godin Q1T piezo and preamp.
