Toshiba Satellite L735 Laptop Power Socket Replacement Guide - Charger Input / DC Jack Repair

In this video I show how to change the charger DC jack / power input socket on a Toshiba Satellite L730/L735 laptop. This is a fairly simple task on these Toshiba laptops and netbooks as the charging port isn&soldered to the motherboard unlike other manufacturers do. It&on a separate piece of cable and just plugs into the motherboard. All you require to do this job is usually a new charging socket/port (obviously) and a small cross/posi/philips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the laptop together. A small flat head/blade screwdriver or prise tool would also be useful to remove some of the plastic casing. This whole process can be completed easily within 15-20 minutes depending on your level of confidence, however please do take your time and be gentle with the small delicate ribbon cables / connectors as they can easily be damaged with excessive force which could then require a new motherboard.
