Savory Secrets
My 5th graders learn about art that makes an impact at the end of the year. State testing goes on around the same time. What better way to make the best of things than make worry stones?! Worry stones can be used like popular fidget toys these days. Rub your thumb in the smooth indent of the stone to relax, lesson anxiety, and calm down. Students can use this video to see how to make a worry stone using 2 colors of polymer clay. There are endless ways to mix polymer clay together, but I find that keeping things simple for my students can sometimes be best. In this video, show how to marble two colors together. Two colors that have more contrast from each other, like a light color and a dark color, will work best to see the marbling effect. When you push your thumb into the clay to make the spot to rub, do not press too far in. you want more of. shallow indent to rub your thumb on later on. Follow the directions on the packaging for baking. You can find me here: Instagram: @mrs.gardnersartists @happyraincloudco @laura.gardner18 Facebook: @mrs.gardnersartists @happyraincloudco
