Coming soon, autumn 2022. Having tried to re-invent the Mudhugger design from scratch, we found no better way than the original design, so we made some small, but significant changes to the original rear Mudhugger design. Fitting to the seat stays now utilises 4 quick release reusable velcro straps, making fitting and removal a matter of a few seconds, which we hope will appeal to a much wider market than the current ziptie fitting. This also helps address the use of single use plastics, which we are looking at for all products. Wall thicknesses have been carefully crafted to create more strength around the velcro straps, to reduce the risk of the Hugger breaking in a crash. A rubber insert has been inserted where the Hugger sits on the seat stay. This dampens noise and stops the Hugger slipping on the helitape (velcro will never be as tight a fitting as zipties. Customers can still choose to use their own zipties if they prefer). We have incorporated a BB extender into the design. This is a push fit extension piece that covers bearings and BB area. It has been designed as thin as possible so that customers can custom trim to suit their bike (there are a massive variety of designs in this area, please note depending on the seat stay brace location some bikes won&be able to utilise the BB extender).
