Ryobi 790r (725r) String Trimmer

Here I&going to be showing you one of my latest string trimmer acquisitions, my Ryobi 790r (I believe to be from the early 2000s). I&always wanted one of these older Ryobi string trimmers since my grandpa used to own one when I was little (he had 2, the first one I believe was a Ryobi, and the 2nd one I know was Craftsman made, but was designed exactly the same as the Ryobi model). This particular trimmer actually started out its life as a 725r with its original curved shaft trimmer attachment (which I still have), but I ended up attaching a straight shaft trimmer head from another parts trimmer (note, the 725r, 775r, and 790r were all the same trimmer, the only thing that differentiated those trimmers were the trimmer shaft designs that they came factory with) and put it on this one, and since this trimmer attachment has the capability to have a brush cutter blade attached to it, that makes this trimmer into a 790r. I&always liked how unique the engine design was on these older Ryobi trimmers with the fuel tank mounted on top (admittedly with this design, at least the fuel can be gravity fed down to the engine) and the engine mounted upside down (easy way to tell that is that the spark plug is mounted underneath the engine) compared to a traditional string trimmer.
