Gretsch G5222 Double Jet Electromatic (Review in description)

I am selling my Gretsch G5222 Double Jet Electromatic and made this video to show just how beautiful this guitar is, along with how great it sounds. For an instrument at this price point, the G5222 is a powerhouse and kind of too good to be true. While the G5222 has a few quirks that keep it just short of perfection, this is an instrument that I believe can be appreciated by players at all levels of skill and tone preference. For me, the Broad’Tron pickups are the most amazing thing about this guitar. The definition and balance that these produce give you the clean and warm, bright or muddy, deep and heavy, or nearly any kind of sound you are looking for or creating with your effects. Of course I have to talk about the appearance. While instruments Made in China have long carried a negative stigma for the many ways in which they can be flawed or come up short, this beauty has the look and finishing touches that could be expected from an American made guitar. This makes the G5222 an incredibly difficult guitar to part ways with. While I do have some beautiful instruments in my collection, this is the one that won the pageant. From the natural wood grain amplified by the slickness of the clear coat to the cherry topping of the chrome hardware throughout, especially the stunning V stoptail, the G5222 will make the most devoted die hard fans of their own instrument stop and stare.
