RC Drift Car: MST MS-01D RTR Body: Mitsubishi Evo X with wide wing Setup CS 1.82 Front camber -6° no toe° @ neutral position Rear camber -5° no toe° Caster 7° laid back. Objective now is to : 1. Keep the front wheels parallel (no toe) at all angles as much as possible. This is what i learn from drift car expert on YouTube. 2. To angle the shocks to slant as much as possible so that I get a more even force during compression as compared to when the shocks are vertical (don&want to weaken wishbone by drilling holes in it). 3. Must achieve Korogashi drift with more control at lower throttle speeds. So a more precise wider angle steering would allow the car (that comes with front-one-way) to behave like a RWD at low speeds and 4WD at higher speeds. To achieve 1, there will be wheel chattering at full lock so this video shows what I did to change the CVD to a wide angle type to solve this problem. Also instead of using higher offset wheel to prevent wheels from touching the shocks l adjusted the wishbone to get a wide track width. This allows me to use back all my 3mm offset wheels. But this also mean I need a longer drive shaft for the front so instead of the standard 42mm, I use 45.5mm. With this length, I can now set my caster back to higher angles( up till 14° can now be set with wider track width) to avoid wheels scraping the body on turns.
