Reading & Northern 425 Fall Foliage Railfan Special 10-14-2017

Here it is. While this got added on last minute because Set wasn&able to make it back out to Union to see 1630 again, here is another great fall chase! So after Set determined he wasn&going to be able to go back & see the Frisco 1630 this year, he remembered reading about this chase. So looking into Details Set started to plan this and here we are with this video. Originally Set was going to chase this to Reading & Back but the night before hand he made a wrong turn got stuck in some bad fog in Pennsylvania and decided to get out of the state before dark that night. But this was still a great chase. When made a few stops before the water stop in Tamaqua. Tamaqua & Jim Thorpe have Terrible traffic. Set saw the train pull into Tamaqua and had to shoot without a tripod after running to catch it stop before the station. Noticing the traffic situation he left Tamaqua to catch it at the East Manhony Junction. There stood on the Bridge at East Manhony Junction when the 425 went under the bridge. It was a grate Bridge & set didn&realize it would go under until it happened. You can see the camera shake in the video, but another Railfan got the full blast of it. While Traffic is a nightmare in Jim Thorpe i did get a few shots there but i missed them turning the Engine on the Turntable. On the way back he caught it at a few before deciding to head home after North of Tamaqua. We still are planning to chase a few trains and planespot before the year is out.
