My Vinyl Record Review for today is Electric Light Orchestra&seventh studio album, 1977&"Out of The Blue." This is my longest album review yet, so I hope you enjoy. Out of The Blue was the end of an era for Electric Light Orchestra, the symphonic rock sound reached it&peak here and the album serves as a great collage of various ideas Jeff Lynne had in the mid to late 1970s. Lynne&lyrics are as sharp as ever and the vocal harmonies and production on this album is amazing. Out of the Blue is also notable for including ELO&most popular song, Mr. Blue Sky. Whenever you need a happy song in anything be it Doctor Who or Guardians of the Galaxy, Mr. Blue Sky is always there to answer the call. This isn&to say there aren&plenty of other great songs on the album, songs like Turn to Stone, Sweet Talkin Woman, Wild Werst Hero, Sweet is the Night, and Night In The City are all great tracks, as is all of side 3&Concerto for a Rainy Day. In this video you get my full reaction and review of each of Out of the Blue&songs as well as my thoughts on the album as a whole. I hope you will watch to the end because I have a lot of thoughts to share on this album! New Album Reviews every Friday!
