Alexandra from Eternal Research showed innovative Demon Box at Buchla & Friends event. Demon Box features 33 inductors arranged in three channels, offering unique triphonic interaction with sound. Its unique functionality revolves around sensing magnetic fields and converting them into data for various sonic applications. Demon Box explores spatial and dimensional aspects of sound, generating MIDI data, audio and control voltage simultaneously. Its design enables minimal movements to orchestrate vast sonic changes, highlighting concept that small forces can provoke significant effects. Alexandra explained her approach to integrating aesthetics and functionality, using acid-etched bronze faceplates that enhance both durability and visual appeal.
