A Gruppetto (or turn) is another short ornamentation between notes. They add interest and variety, and give the performer the opportunity to add expressiveness to a song or piece. They were popular in the Baroque era music of Handel, Bach, Scarlatti and other composers from that time. This compilation of 15 singing lessons date back to the early 19th Century when it was popular to vocalise along with piano accompaniment. These exercises have been re-created with both English and Italian lyrics and available in keys suitable for High, Middle and Low voice ranges.
