This video shows you the steps to improve the disk performance of a virtual machine installed on VMware Workstation up to 50%. To improve disk performance on VM: Step 1: If you have not already installed VMware Workstation, refer to the videos below. Step 2: You can configure settings that will increase disk performance when you create a new virtual machine. Step 3: When setting up a virtual machine, you can enable 2 settings for disk performance in the Disk Capacity window. These; 1. Allocate all disk space now 2. Store virtual disk as a single file Step 4: The Allocate all disk space now option allocates as much disk space as the disk space that is allocated to the virtual machine in your host. Step 5: The Store virtual disk as a single file option configures the virtual machine as a single file type without not splitting the disk file. Step 6: If you create a new VM with these two options, you will increase the disk performance of the virtual machine slightly.
