Narcissus Yellow Cheerfulness belongs to the group 4 of the daffodil classification (double-flowered doffdils) , it produces several flowers per stem and it was registered by Eggink Bros in the Netherands before 1937. It is a sport of Cheerfulness, and resembles it very much except the colour of the perianth and the tepal structures, that are primrose yellow. The fragrance is not great, kind of peppermint and liquorice, a bit pungent but at the same time very difficult to detect. As usual for daffodils, the bulbs need to be planted in autumn in well drained soil, and the plant thrives in full sun or at least partial shade. In summer the foliage dies down and bulbs can either be lifted and divided, or left in place keeping them as dry as possible.
