Tannoy Reveal 402 Studio Monitor Speakers Review

These studio monitors from Tannoy sound incredible if positioned properly. They&designed for musicians and other professionals who want to have an accurate representation of their project audio. Positioning the speakers properly is very important, and Tannoy recommends the listener sit no further than 3 meters away. They also recommend that the tweeters (the smaller portion of the speaker) are at ear level to the listener. When sitting in the &spot&these speakers sound awesome. Tremendous range of sound with clarity that sounds almost as good as a pair of headphones. I was really impressed with the output quality. The speakers are sold individually and have a rather clever way of connecting them to each other for use with a computer or other mobile device. They also have an unbalanced 1/4" adapter and a balanced XLR adapter for attaching to mixers, preamps, etc. for more professional connections. These are really intended for use on a desk in close proximity to the listener. They¬ ideal for general use as a pair of speakers. But they can be great for music and games if you intend to mostly use them while seated at a desk. Overall? I&impressed, excellent pair of amplified speakers at a reasonable price.
