Update on the 1436 jon boat transom. I added a 1/4 aluminum plate to the transom of my 1436lt riveted aluminum jon boat that was manufactured by Alumacraft. The transom was weak when I boat it and quickly started to fail after running the mud motor on it. So far so good! No leaks, transom doesn&show any signs of weakness, the marine 5200 is holding good, nothing to complain about! BOAT SETUP: 1436 lt Alumacraft Jon Boat (would not recommend - get a tracker or something else other than an Alumacraft) {135lbs} 13hp Predator Engine by Harbor Freight (serial/model number 60349 [hemi-version]) {76lbs} Medium Swamp Runner Longtail Mud Motor Kit {57lbs} Custom front deck and floor {~75lbs} Battery, trolling motor, fishing supplies, cooler, anchor, etc... = {~140lbs} My weight = 150lbs Total weight = 633 pounds If you&like to make my day and help support JTgatoring here&a few things you could do that are organized from easiest to most helpful. 1.
