McNelly Pickups Musicmaster / Bronco double pole bass pickup - Squier Bronco Bass

This strat sized single coil pickup in the Musicmaster and/or Bronco bass provides a bump in output and fatness. A great upgrade over the standard pickup, bringing out more clarity and defined low end from these great short scale basses. Bold, thumping low end with a generous side of clarity is what we&serving. Originally, these used a 6-string guitar pickup under the cover. In designing a more appropriate replacement, the idea came up of adding in extra poles to more closely mimic a P Bass or Jazz Bass design. There&barely enough space for it to work, but boy does it work. It brings a Musicmaster or Bronco to life. Introduced to the McNelly Pickups range a few years back now, it has proved to be an incredibly popular model and hopefully this video helps demonstrate why that is! This particular Bronco with the McNelly installed also features my Home of Tone Signature Series wiring kit upgrade, which features CTS &series 250k pots, .022uF tone cap and a pure tone jack socket soldered together with Gavitt 22awg wire. The wiring kit is available along with the pickup or as a standalone wiring upgrade too!
