While shopping for monitors after building my first PC, I did a lot of looking around and learning about syncing, resolution, refresh rates, etc. after finding out about gsync I thought I’d need that otherwise I’d have screen tearing, but than saw a video, ( link below) that mentioned NVDIA making their cards compatible with freesync/adaptive sync monitors, and that they’ve been testing which ones were up to their standards. I also saw that alot of the freesync monitors had lower price points with alot of the same stats as far as hertz and resolution. In the aforementioned video, she’d said that if the monitor was gsync compatible that it would already be switched on once turned on in the monitor, which was the case with this monitor. I found this surprising since the add for it on Amazon and on Newegg had only marketed this particular model as Freesync, not Gsync, but this setting was already enabled, says gsync and so I didn’t have to click through any settings to enable “freesync”. While looking for reviews and information on this monitor, I saw more than one comment across multiple other videos for other monitors asking how the one they were reviewing was different from this particular model, but couldn’t find any in this one. So, I hope this video finds you who are looking for it.
