Nashville Police Respond to Trans School Shooting Incident

Audrey Elizabeth Hale, a former student of the school, arrived on campus in her Honda Fit and proceeded to shoot her way into the building using two assault-type weapons and another firearm. The incident was captured on surveillance video. At 10:13 a.m On March 27 2023., the first call to 911 was made reporting the shots fired. Law enforcement officers quickly arrived on the scene and began clearing the building. While on the second floor, officers encountered Hale, who had been firing through a window at arriving police cars. The officers, identified as Officer Rex Engelbert, a four-year veteran of the MNPD, and Officer Michael Collazo, a nine-year veteran, fired on Hale and fatally killed her
