Tube test on AKG solidtube microphone.mp4

I have tested different preamp tubes on AKG Solid-Tube microphone. No EQ, no effects, no nothing, just the pure sound of the tubes/mic recorded directly into the PC. The tubes tested are: 1. Philips 12AT7WA made in France 2.TAD 7025 Hg (Tube Amp Doctor High Grade) made in Germany 3. 12ax7 Mullard NOS Reissue made in Russia 4. 12ax7 Sovtek Svetlana made in Russia In my opinion the 12AT7WA tube is too quiet for the microphone. TAD 7025 has very beautiful and natural sound and really great sounding tube with very little noise. Mullard reissue in my opinion is not quite what I expected. Sovtek Svetlana is very bright and clear hi-fi sounding tube and cuts trough the mix. It has very loud output and is in my opinion very good match to the tube microphone which tends to be little less pronounced otherwise. Hard to decide between Svetlana and TAD ....let me know what you think ;-)
