Palastinalied ( from old German "The song of Palestine") - composition,wrote by Walter von der Vogelweide, German knight and poet, lived in XIII centuary in Holy Roman Empire in Würzburg, Germany. The story is sang on Middle High German. This song is known by saving to nowadays not only lyrics but the melody too. It was written because of fifth crusade (1217-1221). This is a threatening political-propagandistic song in which depict in bare words the crusade on Holy Land. Palestine during all the time was the land of dispute - territorial and religious. Even now it¬ all calm there. In times of Vogelweide there was a real war. So, it&natural that in this song, written by him, one can see hard things about other nationalities and sureness that military operations there were necessary. There are a lot of versions of Palastinalied from different folk musicians. Like many other songs from middle ages it became classic. Our version against othes contains one interesting thing - muslim praying on Arabian language. It sounds like "Alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin..." ( الحمد لله ربّ العالمين). This is the second verse of the first Surah of the Quran. The English translation of this verse is "All the praises and thanks be to Allah who is the Lord of the worlds".
