ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS Vintage AKAI GX-625 GX Focused Field Reel to Reel Made in Late 1970&This deck uses the "AUTO SYSTEM". See Video to see the REPEAT Function in Action. This is 2 Channel, 4 Track Deck. 3 Heads, 3 Motors and the Capstan motor is Direct Drive. Takes Reel sizes up to 10 1/2 Inches. Two Speed deck, 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 ips. This is a 120 V Deck. All 3 Heads are in great shape. This deck has a "PITCH CONTROL" which some that do CD Conversions find In-Dispensable. Converting a Tape on a machine that played a little Slow or Fast, ---------PITCH CONTROL is a Must ! Rewind, Fast Forward, Play, Record, Pause, Auto Stop, Repeat, Counter All working Nicely and Pinch Roller is in Excellent Shape. This deck uses the Twist Reel Locks so No rubber reel holders to keep track of. Meter Needles are that Cool shade of Green. Proud Looking Deck and will Enhance Any Living room for the Audio Enthusiast. All knobs, tape guides, Feet etc are complete and original. Missing Nothing and only a small crack on the bottom plastic panel due to original owner putting them on backwards. It affects Nothing and cannot be seen unless tape deck on its back looking directly at the bottom. All Lamps Work including the REW, FFD, Both PLAY Buttons, Record etc all work as they should, Like New. --Wooden Sides are Excellent, Above phone jack is a small dent, volume pot has been replaced with an Original Akai pot.
