RARE Ferrari 599 GTO DRIVEN | V12 Enzo engine Audio | The Best modern Ferrari? The Octane Collectio

The Ferrari 599 (internal code F141) is an Italian sports car produced by Ferrari. It was the brand’s two-seat flagship, replacing the 575M Maranello in 2006 as a 2007 model, but was replaced for the 2013 model year by the F12berlinetta. It is named for its total engine displacement (5999 cc), Gran Turismo Berlinetta nature, and the Fiorano Circuit test track used by Ferrari. On 8 April 2010, Ferrari announced official details of the 599 GTO. The car is a road-going version of the 599XX and at the time Ferrari claimed that the 599 GTO was their fastest ever road car, able to lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds, one second faster than the Ferrari Enzo! Its engine produces 661 bhp at 8250 rpm, with 460 lb/ft of torque at 6500 rpm. At 1,605 kilograms the 599 GTO weighs almost 100 kg less than the standard GTB. The 6.0-litre V12 has ‘diamond-like carbon coating’ on the tappets and there’s plenty of ‘super polishing’ too, these modifications, among others, increase efficiency of the engine by 12 per cent. Compression rises from 11.2 to 11.9 through a redesigned crank and pistons and the breathing has been completely overhauled to include a new aluminium intake system that uses shorter runners and saves 2kg.
