#guitarsolo Presented here for your aural delectation is the main solo from Comfortably Numb, arguably one of the best tracks from Pink Floyd&1979 concept album, The Wall. This solo should require no introduction - it&well known to every Floydhead and is one of the first that comes to mind when you think of David Gilmour. It has topped many a poll of greatest ever guitar solos and is a timeless representation of how emotive & powerful a guitar can be. I very nearly gave up trying to get this down as I must&done literally 50 takes until I got one that was passable. It&still not perfect but it will have to do as I was very close to throwing the guitar, the laptop and anything else I could lay hands on out the window! Purists amongst you may be cursing me for using a PRS to play a Gilmour solo and honestly I&with you, it&absolute sacrilege but my excuse is that I have lighter strings on the Custom and it&just easier to play the vast bends than on my Strat. I have some serious blisters from doing this video, so I will take that as punishment for my crimes.
