Ancient Egyptian shaduf was an ancient tool used to draw water for irrigational purposes. It was the earliest form of water raising machine which drew water from a lower level to a higher level. The earliest known use of shadoofs was in Mesopotamia, Egypt, some other African and Asian areas. The shadoof basically comprised of a frame erected on the ground. On this frame a long pole or branch was suspended. Towards the long end of the pole a container, like a bucket or basket was hung and the shorter end was used for the purpose of carrying the weight, thus balancing the two ends of the pole.   shaduf definition shaduf ap world history shaduf facts shaduf egypt shaduf pronunciation shaduf model shadoof synonym shaduf video shaduf chant shaduf irrigation shaduf ancient egypt shaduf ancient egypt definition shaduf advantages and disadvantages shaduf ancient egypt facts shaduf advantages shaduf ancient egypt youtube shaduf activity shaduf ancient egyptian shaduf ancient use a shaduf ancient egypt a shaduf definition making a shaduf how a shaduf works making a shaduf instructions making a shaduf lesson plan making a shaduf ks2 building a shaduf how a shaduf works video design a shaduf ks2 shaduf bbc shaduf bucket shaduf building shaduf britannica shadow background build shaduf model shaduf matthew barney instructions building shaduf shadow in the bible shaduf per bambini shaduf coloring page shaduf catapult shaduf craft shaduf chant audio shadow cartoon shaduf cairo shaduf...
