Dark Souls 1- Souls of Fire/ character creation menu theme

This piece to me resembles the haunting comfort of a fire in a dark abyss. You can’t see anything around you, but you rest assured the fire will keep you safe. The repetitive sound of embers and heat emanating from the burning logs, going on forever. Occasionally a crackle will sound, disturbing the rhythm of the dancing flames, but soon after, you fall back into the hypnotic cadence of the warm and soft light. It goes on, and on… until it either softly, slowly fades away, or is suffocated… and now it’s just you, and the dark abyss…
