Going black and white with the IQ260 Achromatic in Berlin | Phase One

Follow fine art photographer, Bernd Radtke, as he visits the old olympic village in Berlin to shoot black and white images with the new Phase One IQ260 Achromatic digital back. Bernd Radtke: "My passion is taking pictures of abandoned places. Here we are in the historic olympic village of the 1936 Summer olympics. A perfect place to shoot with the Phase One IQ260 Achromatic. The IQ260 Achromatic is wonderful for me as a fine art photographer. The instant black and white preview helps me focus on my vision, if I have achieved it or not. You are able to use for example yellow or IR filters as you have used it in black and white film. I discovered photography at the age of 16 with my father&Agfa Isolette 6x6 camera. Because color was too expensive, I started with black and white film. I learned how to exposure, how to develop and print my negatives. To date I learned a lot more of photography. And today I&working digital but I&never lost the love to black and white. If walls could speak, those within the nearly forgotten Olympic Village of 1936 would have a lot of tails to tell. Around 4,000 athletes lived here during the 11th olympic games in the Summer of 1936. Since 1992 the village is abandoned. In my pictures I&looking for the story behind the aging process itself. I&exploring the surface and details. With my work I want to show that there is hope, that each ending means a new beginning. The IQ260 Achromatic has no Bayer pattern on the sensor which means...
