Corel VideoStudio X8 Ultimate crash

Just purchased VideoStudio Ultimate X8 and came across an odd problem. ok The basics: -New HP Pavilion 1 month old computer with Win 10 home edition, 64 bit OS, 8GB RAM, CPU@2Ghz -New VideoStudio Ultimate X8, 18.6.0.6, 64 bit ultimate, never had a previous version on this new computer so it was a straight install direct from DVD (from a box, not downloaded). Every thing works fine except when I click on the "Instant Project" icon the program crashes. First it flashes a Corel loading bar that says "Updating template database..." then a Microsoft white box that says "Corel VideoStudio has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" then it switches to "Corel VideoStudio has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." then it closes the program and send me to the Desktop.
