SMC Laguna Ceiling Fan

52" SMC Laguna Ceiling fan in brown/polished brass from 1981. Variable speed, nonreversible. It seems like every year since their introduction around 1978-79, the Laguna underwent changes. This model here was the last year for the use of a lower canopy, nonreversible motors, and plastic switch housings. In 1982 they lost the lower canopy, became reversible and started using cast metal switch housings since everything was now crammed into it with the absence of the lower canopy. The 52" Lagunas lasted up until 1984 I believe. The speed control knob was missing so I just threw on a dimmer knob for the time being. The light is not original to the fan I threw that on myself since there was no switch cap. Seems the cap is getting a bit weak high speed should be 20 RPMs faster. But still performs fairly well.
