Today we are replacing an EGR valve on a VW Golf Mk5 1.9 TDI engine code BXE. we need to remove the engine cover , boost pipe and throttle body to get access to the egr valve Tools needed, - 1/4 ratchet - 1/4 medium extension bar - 1/4 5mm hex socket - 1/4 6mm hex socket - 1/4 10mm socket - 1/4 T30 socket - Flathead screwdriver - Torch - Inspection mirror - Replacement egr (unless your just cleaning yours) - Some rag Video link for, When we say tighten it up if it needs torqueing that is down to you to find the necessary settings not us, as all vehicles are different.
