Jet JPT 260 Repair - Part 1 - Disassembly

In this video I strip down my Jet JPT 260 planer thicknesser. It suffered a catastrophic failure when one of the bearings / bushings on the infeed roller failed. The failure resulted in the machine shredding the main power feed gear and damaging the shafts of the feed rollers. This is a known problem with early JPT 260 and 310 machines and the parts are easy to get from your local supply. In the past Jet were replacing them for free but my supplier said that had stopped being the case. There is a technical note about the replacement which I have as a PDF, if you want it drop me a comment but it doesn&really tell you anything that new.
